Dr. Ortega is a very special dentist. She decided that she wanted to become a dentist when she
was only six years old. She had been helping her mother pull out her younger brother's
baby tooth and had so much fun doing so that she wanted to pull out teeth for a living. Little
did she know as a child that there was much more to dentistry than extracting teeth.
Thereafter, her emphasis was to excel in school so that she could fulfill her childhood dream
of becoming a dentist.
Upon achieving her goal of becoming a dentist after many years of school, Dr. Ortega opened her
own practice and is now one of the leading cosmetic dentists in Northern Virginia. She keeps up
with constant changes in the field of cosmetic dentistry by attending seminars and workshops.
Dr. Ortega has a very keen eye for dental esthetics and takes pride in her dentistry. She spends
quality time with patients to learn their complete dental history and to understand their
individual needs and esthetic desires before creating their customized treatment plans.
Dr. Ortega participates in community activities and maintains memberships in various professional
societies in order to stay abreast of the newest developments in the dental field. Specifically,
she is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD), and a member and accreditation candidate
of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. She is also a member of Dental Organization for Conscious
Sedation (DOCS), Northern Virginia Dental Society, Virginia Dental Association and American Dental Association.
These affiliations keep Dr. Ortega in close contact with other dental professionals and maintain her awareness
of new dental technologies.
