All of her patients loved her chairside manners and were very pleased with her treatment. Dr. Ortega has very gentle hands and knows how to make patients feel relaxed in the dental chair. Her dentistry was always exceptional. These factors were strong indicators that she was primed to go solo by opening her own practice.

Dr. Ortega opened her private practice in Fairfax, Virginia. Her office is in the heart of Fairfax City and is conveniently located on Main Street, near George Mason University. Since opening her practice, she has contributed her time to educating students at local Fairfax elementary schools and at the George Mason University Health & Fitness Fair.

Dr. Ortega is becoming the premiere cosmetic dentist in the area. She has performed thousands of smile makeovers and smile enhancements. These smile improvements have helped patients gain more confidence in themselves and in their smiles.

Dr. Ortega works to improve a patient's smile whether it is with minimal bonding or a major cosmetic makeover. Her goal is to improve the patient's smile with the most conservative treatment possible while also achieving the most ideal and natural smile possible. She has been doing cosmetic dentistry well before cosmetic dentistry became popular to the general population. With all of the experience that she has had in cosmetic dentistry, she has performed more cosmetic dentistry than most general dentists. Her desire to do cosmetic dentistry has been a large part of her passion for dentistry.

She constantly keeps up to date with all of the changes in cosmetic dentistry in order to provide the best and most state-of-the-art treatment for each and every one of her patients. She was awarded the Fellowship award from the Academy of General Dentistry in 2007 and is on her way to earning her Mastership award. She is also a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.

In addition to her continuous education in cosmetic dentistry, she has also had extra training in medicine in comparison to most general dentists. She has had specialized training with cosmetic dentistry, cosmetic gum surgery, oral surgery, medically compromised patients, geriatric patients and dental traumas.

Unlike most dentists, she has always exceeded her professional education requirements. She consistently takes several times the required courses and attends dental meetings and conferences all over the country. Dr. Ortega maintains memberships in various professional societies in order to stay abreast of the newest developments in the dental field. Specifically, she is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD), and a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. She is also a member of Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation (DOCS), Northern Virginia Dental Society, Virginia Dental Association and American Dental Association.
